2012 CRMHA Annual Show in Easley, SC
Autumn Rails 2011
Autumn Rails All Scales Train Show, in Asheville, NC (at the Western NC Agricultural Center) on Fri. October 14th (1-7), Sat. 15th (9-3). Download the flyer [HERE] for more details about the show. We joined forces (and modules) with the French Broad e'N'pire Ntrak club, for an exciting long run. We had a few challenges at startup, but were able to work through those and run some very long trains through some good-looking scenery. Many of the FBE modules were built by the original PnS, just as ours were. We also enjoyed Joe's city modules, which were filled with flashing, blinking lights and action. Mauldin CofC Trains, Trains, & More Trains 2011
We had a great show in Mauldin, SC for the Chamber of Commerce's Trains, Trains & More Trains event, over several days between Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 21, 2011. We had lots of inquisitive visitors, and a few really interesting characters. The slideshow to the right features pics from this event.
Our modules were set up in the configuration below, and highlighted our recent scenery work on the Transition, Logging and Clarksville modules.
This configuration allows us to run plenty of trains, including some DC, and provide a lot of constant visual variety for the visitors.

World's Greatest Hobby - Atlanta - 2011
World's Greatest Hobby on Tour in Atlanta (Cobb Galleria), February 12 and 13, 2011. Setup was on February 11. We combined our club modules, plus Mike's home modules with the Athens Bend Track club to create a huge layout (see diagram below). It was a good show with excellent attendance. It was a lot of fun running trains around this very lengthy run.
Chapman Cultural Center 2010
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday (December 18th-20th) we set up and ran the layout at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg, in the lobby of the theater where The Polar Express was being shown. Our layout was the standard NTRAK+transition+logging+JohnsLoop. We had an excellent crowd with many questions and high interest levels, due in part to excellent press coverage. Autumn Rails 2010
We had a good show in Hendersonville, NC at the Autumn Rails 2010 sponsored by the French Broad E'N'pire NTRAK Club on Saturday, October 9, 2010. We were set up in a mezzanine area, so we had a good view of the show floor. The French Broad NTRAK layout features several modules from the original Piedmont 'n' Southern (sister modules to ours, if you will.) The slideshow to the right features pics from this event.
Our modules were again set up in the configuration below, and included the NTrak loop (with Mountain Division), the transition module (NTrak to Bend Track), the logging module (combination Bend Track and Mountain line) and John's loop, featuring access to the high line and a reverse loop.
Mauldin CofC Trains, Trains, & More Trains 2010
We had a great show in Mauldin, SC for the Chamber of Commerce's Trains, Trains & More Trains event, over several days between Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 22, 2010. The show was well-attended, with a steady stream of visitors. We shared the show with a huge S-Gauge layout built by the Atlantic Coast S Gaugers - Carolinas Division. The slideshow to the right features pics from this event.
Our modules were set up in the configuration below, and included the NTrak loop (with Mountain Division), the transition module (NTrak to Bend Track), the logging module (combination Bend Track and Mountain line) and John's loop, featuring access to the high line and a reverse loop.
This configuration allowed us to run a LOT of trains at once, including some DC, and provide a lot of visual variety for the visitors. During less-crowded times, we were able to let some young folks run a train, which was definitely a big hit!
